I read one many years ago about a girl who was about to break the state record for the most three-pointers in a season, and she suffered an injury just before the last game of the season and couldn't play. So the other team's coach told her coach to put her out there just to make the one shot, and when she came out-- on crutches-- the other team sat down on the court and waited until she sank her shot.
