Lyrics of the day

This artist (pictured above) is awesome. My mom and I saw her live at the Women and music concert. She plays the cello sideways like a guitar and she ROCKS.

So Lindsay Mac is my featured artist of the day.

I encourage you to find her music online somehow because you should enjoy (every amazon person rated her at 5 stars)

My current fave song by her is called

DRIFTING

As I walked down the street with you, I don’t turn to my side
I keep my eyes on my destination and pretend that I am fine
Cause you’re like your own small planet
With your own gravitational pull

And I’ve convinced myself I don’t need to breathe your atmosphere
I am full
I am full
I am full

It seems so simple really
every route of reason leads me away
But I’ve always charted the course less traveled
and I’ve never docked in the bay
So as my tiny ship bobs quietly
I can see the outline of your coast

Now I realize my captain has failed me
And I’ve drifted much too close
Too close
Too close

I’ve drifted
I’ve drifted
ohh
I’ve drifted
I’ve drifted
Ohh
I’ve drifted
I’ve drifted
Much to close

To you
