Friday the 13th update
It's Friday the 13th and I think the only spooky thing I'm doing today is cleaning my bathroom.
Random change of subject time---- So there's a couple who's getting married in Fargo today and they really wanted this one song played when the bride walked down the aisle. Trouble was-- there was no sheet music and the church didn't allow recorded music.
So the bride contacted the group, Australian rock band, Borne to ask about it and -- long story short.... The lead singer/song writer is flying 24 hours to sing it for them in person!!!!
How beautiful is that? What kind of song is worth paying a $3000 airfare/hotel package for you ask? This one:
The super cool part (for me) is that I got to write the story for the Herald! I got to interview the bride (total sweetheart) and call Australia and interview lead singer, Cameron Tapp (who called me "mate" and made my whole day) You can read the story here.
Tyler and I were talking about this today at lunch and I asked him, "So what do you want me to walk down the aisle to?"
He thought for a split second and without hesitation, suggested this.
Wouldn't that be an entrance? What the hell kinda bridal dress do you wear for something like that? I think leather would be involved. Yikes. Not me.
So we missed softball this week because -- as per usual -- it was raining cats and dogs. Every week we get an email at work where we vote on whether or not we can make it. The guy who writes the emails always thinks of funny little sayings like "no thanks, can't make it, I have to shave my back" but this week it was very fitting.
If you think I'm exaggerating the biblical weather around here. Check out this headline.
Seriously? Flying cows.
I am at work and (go figure) not working so I must cut this short. I leave you with my newfound hero-- Sarah Haskins. She has done some other great videos but this one (her latest) is AWESOME beyond COMPARE!
