Change of Heart
IMPORTANT...
I have to change my vote for a "Tobes Award"!!
Best Movie of '05 has to be Pride and Prejudice. No contest. (To the left you see Matthew MacFadyen, who played Mr. Darcy in the film and did the part quite delightfully I may add).
The story is so well adapted and is shot so beautifully. It's proof that the sexiest scenes need no dirty talk, no exposed flesh, no real overt sexuality at all. The sexiest thing in the world is a man walking up to you, exposing his feelings and vulnerability by saying,
"You have bewitched me, body and soul, and I love... I love... I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on. "
Now, I know Jane Austen is to credit for that wonderfulness but the movie is just so good! Makes modern day romance pale in comparison and makes me wish I was a woman in the 18th century- (which is an insane thought by the way).
It seems unfair, because "Cinderella Man" still rocks. Maybe P&P can win the Tobes Award for '06, since that's technically when I saw it... had to travel all the way to Fargo because the lame movie theater in G.F. apparently needs two screens for Saw 2.
Word to Carmike Cinema... STOP SUCKING.
And word to all of you reading this--- GO see this movie.
