Oh the memories

Mingle2 Free Online Dating - Science Quiz

Dear Joel, Tom, Christy, David, Laura, Jim & all others I annoyed in Mr. Palmer's science class,

Question #15 made me think of all of you. Remember the day that I refused to accept this idea?

Here is the question:

The color of a pure red rose in white sunlight is a result of the fact that:
a) The rose absorbs red light only.
b) The rose absorbs all white light.
c) The rose reflects only red light.
d) The rose reflects all light except red.

HA! Anyone recall the day when I challenged this theory? I was like, "nope, nope, nope-- don't believe it." Well all that drama paid off. Cause when I got to this question I knew exactly what answer they wanted...

Still think it's a load of crap though

Oh, yes, I remember that moment very well. It was very much like a Friends episode in which Ross tries to convince Phoebe that evolution is not something you "buy," it's scientific fact that we have evidence for. I remember you going, "I just don't buy it" and other people tearing their hair out. Good times :)

Ah yes, I remember it well indeed! Nice work! I actually pulled out the "I don't buy it" in a Spanish literature class where the professor was one of those hyperacademic types who had completely lost touch with reality. She claimed that Cervantes had actually considered his use of the letter "q" in Don Quixote and that each use was deliberate. Yeah, I don't buy it!!! Nice work Tobes.

B+. I'm pretty awesome, since I think science is baout the most boring thing in the world aside from math of course.

It never ends... :)
We're going to be talking about this when we're 80, aren't we?
I'm glad that you know about science, though.

Yeah this test makes me feel stupid too. I'm pretty sure I was better at this stuff before a business school dulled my mind :(. Ha, oh well.
